American Fork

American Fork splits neatly into two kinds of jobs for us. Down in the older grid near Main Street, we're usually replacing tired concrete — driveways, aprons, and front walks that have been through forty winters — and rebuilding the front yard around them.

Up toward the bench, the lots are newer and steeper, and the conversation is about retaining, terracing, and getting usable flat space out of a slope. Those projects almost always start with where the water goes before they get to what the wall will look like.

Either way, mature landscaping is common here and we plan around it. Root zones get protected, grade changes near established trees get handled carefully, and irrigation gets rezoned so the new lawn and the old trees aren't fighting over the same schedule.
